Does Grubhub deliver in Guyana?
No. Grubhub is a food delivery marketplace in the United States and does not deliver in Guyana (checked 14 October 2026). You can order Guyanese food from restaurants in the US, but not have it delivered to family in Georgetown.
Deliva, a new delivery app for Guyana, is coming soon to Georgetown. It will let you pay by card in the US and send a meal to someone there.
Living in Richmond Hill, the Bronx or anywhere else in the US, you may order pepperpot, chow mein or roti on Grubhub on a Friday night. Getting that same kind of meal to your parents in Georgetown is a different problem, and that is the one Deliva is being built to solve.
Sending food from the US to Guyana, step by step
- Choose a restaurant in Georgetown and see its full menu with prices.
- Enter your family member's name, WhatsApp number and a pin with a landmark.
- Pay with your US card online; they pay nothing at the door.
- They get WhatsApp updates while the order is on its way, and you see the status too.
For the days that matter
Birthdays, Mother's Day, Phagwah, Diwali, Eid, Christmas, or a Sunday when you cannot be there: schedule a delivery ahead of time and add a short message to go with it. Groceries can go too, as a one-off or a weekly basket.
Grubhub at home, Deliva for family in Guyana
Keep using the apps you like for yourself in the US. Deliva is for the other side: the person in Georgetown receiving the order. They do not need the app or a bank card, and the rider finds them by pin and landmark.
