Commission and fees: what partners pay and what they do not
We do not publish a commission rate. The rate depends on your type of business and how your orders are delivered, and we put it in writing for you before you decide. This page explains how commission works, what is free and what your customers pay, so you know what to ask on the call with our Georgetown team.

The principle
One commission on each order, agreed in writing before you sign. Nothing else is charged unless you choose it, such as a promotion you decide to fund.
What the commission depends on
- Your type of business: a restaurant and a hardware store are different.
- How orders are delivered: Deliva riders, your own riders, or pickup at your counter. These options carry different rates, because we do different amounts of the work.
- Volume, and whether you choose to sell only through us, are things we can discuss.
What is free
- Applying and talking to us.
- Your page on our website with your menu or products.
- Help typing up your menu or product list.
- The merchant app on your own phone or tablet.
- The WhatsApp support line.
What your customers pay
Customers pay your menu price, plus a delivery fee and, on some orders, a service fee. They see all of it before they order. Those fees are charged to the customer, not taken from your prices.
Costs you choose
- Promotions you decide to fund, such as a discount on your own dishes.
- A receipt printer, if you want one.
VAT and how it appears
If your business is registered for VAT, VAT on our commission is shown as its own line on your statement. If you are not registered, tell us and we will set your account up that way.
Cash orders and netting
When our riders deliver, they collect the cash and your share is paid on your statement. When your own riders deliver, your rider keeps the customer’s cash and the commission on those orders is deducted from what we owe you, so you do not have to pay us separately.
Payouts
Partners are paid every week with an itemised statement. How you are paid, for example by MMG, at our cash desk or by bank transfer, is agreed with you.
Questions about commission and fees
Why don’t you publish the commission?
Because it really does differ by type of business and delivery option. Rather than a headline number that does not apply to you, we send your terms in writing before you decide.
Is there a sign-up or monthly fee?
Applying is free. Any fee at all, including whether there is a sign-up or monthly charge, is set out in your written terms before you sign.
Do I pay for the tablet?
There is no tablet to buy or rent. The merchant app runs on your own phone or tablet.
Do I pay commission on cancelled orders?
The rules for cancelled orders, including when you are compensated for food already cooked, are written into your terms.
Is VAT included?
VAT on our commission is shown separately on your statement for VAT-registered businesses.
Can I negotiate?
Yes. Volume and how you deliver both matter, and you can discuss them with us before signing.
