Already running deliveries in Georgetown? Here are your options
Couriers, delivery companies, taxi bases and errand runners already move food, parcels and shopping around Georgetown every day. Deliva needs that experience, and you may want more steady work for your riders.
There is more than one way to work together. One is open for applications now; the others are ideas we are collecting interest in before we decide how they will work.
The problems we both know
- Riders waiting around between jobs, then three orders at once.
- Orders arriving across a dozen WhatsApp chats and phone calls.
- Cash records kept on paper, and arguments at the end of the day about who holds what.
- Customers who want to track their order and businesses that want proof it arrived.
Four ways to work with us
Fleet Partner
Applications open
Your riders deliver orders on the app under your company, and your company is paid for their work.
- Best for
- Registered delivery companies, couriers and taxi bases with a team of riders or drivers.
- What you keep
- Your company, your riders and your existing customers and contracts.
- What changes
- Each rider is checked individually and uses the rider app; you get one statement for the team.
Area operator
Not open yet: register interest
One partner runs deliveries for a defined area outside the city centre from a small local base.
- Best for
- An established operator with a yard or office and riders who live in that area.
- What you keep
- Your base and team; customers and support stay with the app.
- What changes
- You commit to covering the area at agreed hours. Terms will be set before this opens.
Bring your customers
Not open yet: register interest
For errand runners and personal shoppers with a loyal list of customers who order by WhatsApp.
- Best for
- Errand and shopping services that want ordering, tracking and a cash record without losing their name.
- What you keep
- Your customers see your business name on their orders.
- What changes
- Orders come through the app instead of chats. We will share how this works before it opens.
Join forces
By conversation only
If you would rather talk about joining forces than partnering, say so in the form. The founder reads those personally.
- Best for
- Owners thinking about the long-term future of their delivery business.
- What happens
- A private conversation first. Nothing is public and nothing is assumed.
How money works for a delivery company
Your company is the one we pay for the deliveries your riders complete, on a statement that shows every delivery by every rider. You pay your riders the way you agree with them.
Cash is tracked per person, not per company: each rider has their own cash limit and hands cash in with a receipt, so nobody carries the whole day’s money and nobody is blamed for someone else’s shortage. Tips belong to the rider who earned them.
What we ask of every delivery partner
- A registered business: a registered business name or a company, with a tax identification number.
- Vehicles with valid insurance, and helmets on every two-wheeler.
- ID and licence checks for each rider or driver, done individually.
- A supervisor we can reach on WhatsApp while your riders are working.
What happens after you send the form
A call
We ask how you work today: riders, vehicles, areas and the hours you cover.
A visit
We show you the rider app and how cash and statements work, at your place or ours.
The agreement
You get the terms in writing for the program you want, and time to read them.
Riders join
Each rider signs up in the app, passes the checks and does the same training as everyone else.
Questions from delivery companies
Do my riders have to leave my company?
No. Under the Fleet Partner program your riders stay with your company and work on the app under your company name.
Who pays my riders?
You do. We pay your company for the deliveries your riders complete, with a statement per rider, and you pay your riders as you agree with them.
Who is responsible for cash?
Each rider has their own cash limit and hands cash in with a receipt. If cash goes missing, it is settled on your company statement, and you sort it out with your rider.
Can I keep my own customers and contracts?
Yes. Your existing customers and contracts are yours. Joining does not stop you running your own business.
Do you cover areas outside Georgetown?
We start in Georgetown and nearby neighbourhoods. Tell us which areas you serve in the form; it helps us plan where to go next.
Is the area operator program open now?
Not yet. We are collecting interest and will set the terms before anyone is signed. Choose "running deliveries for an area" in the form and we will keep you informed.
What insurance do I need?
At least the third-party cover the law requires for every vehicle. Private cover may not pay out for paid delivery work, so ask your insurer about commercial use; we will go through this on the call.
Can I sell my business to Deliva?
Choose "talking about joining forces" in the form. The founder reads those personally and replies in private. There are no public terms for this.
