Privacy policy
Draft for legal review. This is a pre-launch privacy notice covering the website forms only. It will be replaced by the full privacy policy before Deliva starts taking orders.
Last updated: October 2026.
Who we are
Deliva is a delivery service preparing to launch in Guyana. This notice explains how we handle the personal information you give us through the forms on this website. Questions about it go to privacy@deliva.gy.
What we collect
- Your name and phone number, and your email address if you choose to give it.
- The neighbourhood you select.
- For business applications: the business name, what it sells or does, and your answers about how it operates (for example delivery options, fleet size, vehicle types, areas served and whether it is registered).
- For rider applications: the type of vehicle you ride or drive.
- Which form you used, the page it was on, the time, and the consent wording you agreed to.
We do not ask for payment details, ID documents or your exact address on this website. Our servers also keep short-lived technical logs and use your IP address to limit repeated form submissions.
How we use it
- To tell you when Deliva launches in your area, if you joined the waitlist.
- To contact you about your application if you applied as a partner or rider.
- To understand where demand is, using totals rather than individual details.
We contact you only for the purpose you agreed to, by WhatsApp, SMS, phone or email. We do not sell your information.
Who we share it with
Only service providers that help us run the website and send messages, under agreements that require them to protect it, and authorities where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep waitlist and application details until shortly after launch or until you ask us to delete them, whichever comes first. Information is stored on access-restricted systems.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to show you, correct or delete your details, or stop contacting you, at any time by emailing privacy@deliva.gy. We aim to answer within 30 days. We follow the principles of Guyana's Data Protection Act 2023 and, for people contacting us from the EU or UK, the GDPR.
