What can be sold, and what cannot
- Allowed: over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, baby care, first aid and personal care.

- Age-restricted items need ID at the door, checked by the rider.
- Items that need a cold chain are excluded for now.
Why pharmacies sign up
- Repeat monthly orders for the things customers buy every month.
- Relatives abroad paying for a parent’s regular items by card.
- Delivery without hiring a driver, or with your own if you have one.
- Sealed bags with no product names on the outside, and riders trained to keep orders private.

Compliance, stated plainly
Pharmacy practice in Guyana is regulated by the Pharmacy Council under the Pharmacy Practitioners Act, and medicines by the Food and Drugs Act. We found no published rule on delivering over-the-counter products ordered online, so we start with over-the-counter products from licensed pharmacies only, and will ask the Pharmacy Council before offering anything more.
What you need
- A licensed pharmacy with a registered pharmacist on staff.
- A list of your over-the-counter lines with prices.
- Owner ID and business registration.
- An MMG business or bank account for payouts.
Pharmacy questions
Can we sell prescription medicines through Deliva?
No. Pharmacy delivery starts with over-the-counter products only. Prescription items will only be considered after the approach is confirmed with the Pharmacy Council.
What products are allowed?
Over-the-counter medicines, vitamins and supplements, baby care, first aid and personal care. Controlled and cold-chain items are excluded.
How are age-restricted items handled?
The rider checks the customer’s ID at the door before handing them over, and records the check in the app.
Who is responsible for the product?
The pharmacy remains the seller and is responsible for what it sells. We are the marketplace and carry the order; this is written into the agreement.
Can a customer abroad pay for medicine for a relative here?
Yes, for over-the-counter products. They pay by card and the order is delivered to their relative.
How do payouts work?
Weekly, with a statement that lists every order and the commission on it.
