Joining

Who can sell on Deliva?

Restaurants and other food businesses, supermarkets and grocery shops, licensed pharmacies for over-the-counter products, hardware stores and market vendors.

Do I need a registered business?

Yes, in most cases: a registered business name or a company, plus the licences your trade needs. Tell us in the form if your registration is still in progress.

How long does it take to go live?

It depends on how quickly your menu or product list and documents are ready. We help with both, and we will give you a realistic plan on the first call.

Do you accept home cooks?

Not at the moment. We are looking at what home kitchens need in Guyana before deciding. If you cook from home, you can still apply and choose "something else", and we will keep you informed.

Money

How do you make money?

From a commission on each order and from the delivery and service fees customers pay. Your commission is agreed in writing before you sign.

How will I see what I earned?

On an itemised statement each week: every order, the commission, cash your own riders collected and the payout.

Can I be paid in cash?

Payout methods, including cash at our desk, MMG and bank transfer, are agreed with you.

Delivery options

Can I switch between your riders and mine?

Yes. You can change your delivery option, for example using our riders on busy nights.

How far will you deliver from my store?

We agree a delivery area with you during onboarding, based on how your food or products travel.

Who is responsible if an order is damaged on the way?

If our rider delivered it, we handle it with the customer. If your rider delivered it, you do. The rules are in the agreement.

Orders and cancellations

Can a customer cancel after I start preparing?

Not once the rider has collected the order. Cancellations before that, and compensation for prepared cash orders, are covered in your terms.

What if a customer is not home?

The rider calls the customer and waits a set time. If the order cannot be delivered, your terms say how you are paid for it.

Can I refuse an order?

Yes, for example when an item has sold out. Mark the item sold out too, so the next customer does not order it.

Menus and products

Who builds my menu?

We do, from photos, a PDF, a spreadsheet or your social media page. You check it before it goes live.

Can I charge different prices than in my shop?

You set your prices in the app. Customers should see prices that you are happy to honour.

Do I need professional photos?

No. Clear phone photos of your dishes or products work well, and we can advise on taking them.

Licences and compliance

Which licences do you check?

The ones your trade needs in Guyana, for example the Food Restaurant Licence for restaurants, or the pharmacy licence and registered pharmacist for pharmacies.

Can pharmacies sell prescription medicines?

No. Pharmacy delivery is limited to over-the-counter products.

Do you need my tax number?

Yes, for the agreement and for your statements. Tell us whether you are registered for VAT.

Support

How do I reach support?

Through a dedicated WhatsApp line for partners, plus your onboarding contact during setup.

What if the app stops working during service?

Orders also reach you on WhatsApp so you can keep accepting them while the app reconnects.
